This project is part of the Storm Drainage Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) and is required to provide drainage improvements within the Harris Gully watershed and to reduce the flood potential to the Texas Medical Center, Rice University, Hermann Park and surrounding areas.
This project consists of approximately 200 linear feet of 24-inch storm sewer, and 1,100 linear feet of 8-inch, 12-inch, and 24-inch water line and concrete roadway reconstruction with curb and gutter. The storm sewer improvements will also include associated inlets, inlet leads, and laterals. The inlets and inlet spacing were designed based on the 5-year design rainfall event. From Bissonnet to US 59, the roadway pavement will be reconstructed full width concrete with curb and gutter.
