The project area is within drainage area D0736 of the Comprehensive Drainage Plan. This project area is comprised of eight residential streets. These streets are Sharpsview, Stroud, Carvel, Jetty, Riptide, Universal, Aqua, and Shiner. The major roadway thoroughfares and waterways bounding the Catalina/Bellaire West Section Five Subdivision are Bellaire Boulevard to the north, Kirkwood Road to the east, Harris County Flood Control (HCFCD) Ditch D122-00-00 (D122-00-00) to the south, and Cook Road to the west

The drainage improvements consist of new storm sewer along Stroud, Universal, and Carvel and at locations to be determined in Bellaire West Section Five subdivision. Street reconstruction, water line, and sanitary sewer replacement will occur when the new storm sewers are installed.
